Job Description

Provide English language instruction to learners in an international education setting and perform all tasks related to effective classroom teaching. Create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment in which learners can develop language skills, confidence, and communicative competence.

A TEFL English Teacher role may include classroom teaching, lesson preparation, learner assessment, and participation in school activities, depending on the employer and country of placement.

Duties may include:

• Teaching English language lessons to children, teenagers, or adult learners
• Preparing and delivering lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives
• Supporting learner development in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
• Managing classroom behaviour in a positive and inclusive manner
• Assessing learner progress and providing feedback
• Implementing daily lesson routines and classroom procedures
• Adapting teaching methods to learner needs and cultural contexts
• Participating in training sessions, meetings, or professional development
• Maintaining lesson records and basic academic documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline unless otherwise specified by employer)
• Level 5 TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certification (or willingness to complete prior to placement)
• Clear spoken and written English
• Ability to work with learners from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Willingness to work overseas for the agreed contract period
• Clean background check, where required for safeguarding or visa purposes

Preferred (where applicable):

• Previous teaching, tutoring, or training experience
• Experience working with children, teenagers, or adult learners
• Classroom-based or online ESL teaching experience

Work Experience

• Entry-level / fresher applicants accepted
• Suitable for newly qualified teachers and career-changers
